Rhiannon Romanak

Rhiannon is a registered psychologist who values creating a safe, warm, and supportive therapeutic environment. Her approach is authentic, practical, trauma-informed, and person-centred, with a strong emphasis on working collaboratively with clients to tailor therapy to their individual needs, goals, and values.

Rhiannon works with adolescents (aged 13 years and over) and adults, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and DBT-informed interventions. She is trained in neurodiversity-affirming practice and provides autism assessments and therapy in a respectful and affirming way.

Rhiannon has particular interests in endometriosis and chronic pain, trauma (including survivors of domestic and family violence), anxiety and depressive disorders, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and neurodiversity. She has also completed Level I training in the Gottman Method and integrates this relational lens where helpful.

Rhiannon holds full registration with AHPRA and completed her Master of Clinical Psychology (with Distinction) at the University of Southern Queensland. She also holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies from Griffith University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from the Australian Catholic University.

Rhiannon is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA) and has specific training and clinical experience in perinatal psychology, supporting individuals and families during pregnancy, birth, and the early parenting period.
